I am not too thrilled about these pictures of the Basilica and downtown Des Moines. The Basilica was dark, and it was snowing outside and I was in no mood to walk around in snow all night. Not the too best combinations for successful pictures - bad light and apathy.

Outskirts of Ames,IA

For those of you not familiar with the Ames area, these were taken on the north-western side of the city, out toward Boone. There is nothing particularly funny to say about these pictures. I just thought they were scenic and would maybe inspire many future generations to visit the land of milk and honey known as Ames, IA.
